The book "From Abacus to the Internet Society: The Evolution of Step by Step" aims to inform the reader, step by step, of all the developments from the beginning of the construction of the first computer machines until today. The presentation of the topics is based on four broad time periods. In them, the reader can be informed and study issues related to the development and hardware and software development. The book focuses on developments in microcomputers, powerful computing systems and supercomputers, programming languages, operating systems, artificial intelligence, networks, robotics, and alternative approaches to computer construction.

During the presentation of the topics per period, emphasis was placed on the effects of computers on education, entertainment, art and literature.

No special knowledge is needed to study this book. The book consists of five chapters. In the first chapter, several important concepts are analyzed, the understanding of which helps to study the next four chapters.
